Winter parking at Calgary Airport (YYC): plug-ins, warm starts and costs
Prices checked: November 4, 2026. Every rate and service below was copied from the airport's or the lot operator's own website on that date, and the sources are linked in each section. Where we've added up a total ourselves, it's marked "our calc." Confirm the price and the service for your dates before you book.

What that means: at YYC itself, you choose between shelter and a plug. The P1 and P2 parkades have no block heater plugs; YYC says only the Economy and Overheight lots have "partial block heater availability." If you want your car warmed up and the windows cleared when you land, that's an off-airport service: Park & Jet's $5 Warm Car Start, or Park2Go's valet, which includes it.
What a winter trip costs: 7 and 14 days
| Option | 7 days | 14 days | Winter extra |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skyview Parking, online rate | $51.95 (weekly) | $103.90 (our calc.) | None published |
| Park & Jet, Prepay & Save + Warm Car Start | $74.52 (our calc.: $69.52 + $5.00) | Not stated | Included in total |
| Park2Go Calgary, Valet promo (online) | $75.95 (weekly) | $151.90 (bi-weekly) | Warm-up and snow clearing included; plug-in +$19.99 if available |
| YYC Economy lot | $80.00 (first week) | $192.00 (our calc.) | Plug-in if you find one (partial availability) |
| Park & Jet, Pay at the Lot + Warm Car Start | $84.00 (our calc.: $79.00 + $5.00) | Not stated | Included in total |
| YYC Long-term P1 / P2 parkade | $160.00 (first week) | $384.00 (our calc.) | No plug-ins |
How we calculated "our calc.": YYC's 14-day totals are the published first-week price plus the published daily rate for each of the 7 extra days ($16 Economy, $32 P1/P2). Skyview doesn't publish a two-week rate, so 14 days is two times its weekly rate. Park & Jet totals add its $5.00 per-stay Warm Car Start fee to the published weekly rate; its rates page doesn't give a rate for 8–16 day stays, so we haven't guessed one.
Taxes and fees: none of the figures above include tax. YYC's rate table says "taxes not included." Park & Jet adds 5% GST. Park2Go's rates exclude GST and an access fee (the access fee amount isn't published). Skyview's rates page says prices are in CAD but doesn't say whether GST is included, and it adds a $10.00 short-term fee for stays of 2 days or less.

Parkade vs Economy: the P1/P2 parkade costs twice as much as the Economy lot: $160 vs $80 for a week, and $384 vs $192 for two weeks (our calc.). What the extra $80 a week (or $192 for two weeks) gets you is a parkade with skywalk access to the terminals, but no block heater plug. The Economy lot is a short walk from the Domestic terminal and has some plug-ins, but YYC says its availability is "temporarily reduced" due to ongoing improvements, so book early.

- Block heaters: "Partial block heater availability is provided in the Economy and Overheight lot areas. Block heater plugs are not available in Parkades P1 or P2." YYC doesn't say how many plug-in stalls there are or whether they can be reserved.
- Free vehicle services: YYC offers free battery boosting, tire inflation and vehicle location to anyone parked in its lots and parkades. Call the parking team at 403-735-1500.
- Getting to the terminal: the long-term parkades connect to the Domestic and International terminals by the Level 4 skywalks (elevators run from every level), and the Economy lot is a short walk from the Domestic terminal. YYC says it doesn't run a shuttle to its surface lots or parkades.
- Rates: Long-term P1/P2 $32 a day, $160 for the first week; Economy $16 a day, $80 for the first week; Overheight $27 a day, $135 for the first week. Taxes aren't included. YYC says rates are discounted when you book online, but the discounted online rates aren't shown on its rate page.
- Late back because of weather? YYC charges an overstay (past your reservation end time) at the normal drive-up rate. You can extend your exit date online through Manage Booking, even after the original exit time has passed.
- Busy days: YYC suggests allowing extra time on Wednesdays, Thursdays, holidays and long weekends. The parkade availability line is 403-250-7275.
Park & Jet Calgary
2222 Airport Ave NE, Calgary, AB T3J 3C6 · 403-226-0010 · self-park, free 24/7 shuttle (4–6 minutes to the terminal)
- Warm Car Start, $5.00 per stay: you park in the Warm Car Start rows (east side of the lot) and hand your keys to a parking ambassador. They track your flight, run your vehicle for up to 10 minutes so the cabin warms and the windows clear, and clear the snow from your windows. On snow days, Park & Jet says it will lightly brush snow from the vehicle to about one centimetre from the body. Your car isn't moved or driven. The fee is charged once per stay, not per day, and is the same whether you pay at the lot or prepay. You can reserve it or just drive up and follow the signs. If staff can't start your vehicle, the fee is refunded (parking still applies), and they may not start it if the fuel is below one-eighth of a tank. (Warm Car Start page)
- Plug-in stalls: Park & Jet has a limited number of energized plug-in stalls on the west side of the lot, where you park yourself and keep your keys. Ask at the entry gate. Its plug-in page says the plugs are energized when the temperature falls below −15°C and run on a timer. No separate plug-in price is shown. You choose plug-in or Warm Car Start, not both: they're in different parts of the lot. (Park & Jet home page, plug-in parking page, posted November 24, 2022)
- Free boosting and car care: boosting is free; if your car won't start after three attempts, Park & Jet says it will call a service such as AMA. A free vehicle refresh station has tire inflation, a vacuum and windshield washing.
- Rates: Pay at the Lot $16.00 a day, $79.00 weekly (5–7 day stays), $210.00 for 17–30 days; Prepay & Save $14.08, $69.52 and $184.80. 5% GST is added. Its rates page also advertises "Park for 7 days and only pay for 5 days!" (rates page)
Park2Go Calgary
2121 100th Avenue NE, Calgary, AB T3J 3N5 ("three blocks north of the Calgary Airport") · valet only in Calgary
- Warm-up and snow clearing are part of the valet: Park2Go says its valet staff start your vehicle, warm it up and clear off any snow before you get back, and its Calgary page lists "complimentary snow removal and climate controlled vehicle upon arrival." In Calgary, vehicle pickup is outdoors (only the Edmonton location has a heated building). (Park2Go FAQ, park2go.ca/calgary)
- Block heater plug-ins: Park2Go says it has "very limited" plug-in spots, can't guarantee your vehicle will be plugged in, and charges $19.99 plus GST per stay when it is. Boosting and tire inflation are free.
- Rates (Nov 4, 2026): Valet promo (reserve online) $15.19 a day, $75.95 weekly, $151.90 bi-weekly, $189.90 monthly; regular (walk-up) $17.49, $87.45, $174.90 and $209.99. Rates exclude GST and an access fee. Its rates page also lists 30 days of valet for $189.90 and a second "park up to 30 days" special for $169.99 that doesn't say whether it's valet. (park2go.ca/rates)
Skyview Parking
5005-144 Ave NE, Calgary, AB T3N 1B2 · 403-477-5555
- Skyview offers free optional valet (leave your keys, or keep them and park yourself), a free shuttle running 24/7 every 10 minutes, and charges by the day. Online rates are $10.95 a day, $51.95 weekly and $139.95 monthly. (rates, FAQs)
- Its website doesn't mention block heater plug-ins, warm starts or snow clearing, so ask before you book if you need them.
Winter tips that come from the operators
- Need a plug? At YYC, that means the Economy or Overheight lot, not the parkades. At Park & Jet, ask at the gate for the plug-in rows. At Park2Go, plug-ins aren't guaranteed.
- Want a warm car, not just a warm engine? Park & Jet notes that a block heater warms your engine but does nothing for the cabin or the windows. That's what Warm Car Start, or Park2Go's valet, is for.
- Battery dies anyway? YYC (403-735-1500), Park & Jet and Park2Go all offer free boosts.
- Flight delayed by weather? At YYC, extend your booking online to avoid paying the drive-up rate for the overstay. Park & Jet lets you update your flight number by text for Warm Car Start.
