Winter plug-ins at Edmonton Airport (YEG): Value Park, Parkade and Park2Go

Where we've added up a total ourselves, it's marked "our calc." Confirm the price and the service for your dates before you book.

What that means: if you need a plug at YEG itself, Value Park is the clear answer: every stall is powered, and YEG says the plugs are for block heater use (they're also described as Level 1 equivalent and cycled). The Parkade has plugs only on P3 and P4. Off-airport, Park2Go is the only lot that publishes a plug-in price, and it warns the spots are very limited and not guaranteed. For a warm cabin and cleared windows when you land, Park2Go's valet includes starting, warming and snow clearing, with pickup inside its heated Edmonton building.

Example (our calc.): a week of Park2Go valet at the promo rate plus one block-heater plug-in is $71.96 + $19.99 = $91.95, before GST and Park2Go's access fee (the access fee amount isn't published). A week at YEG Value Park online is $80.00 with the cycled plug included, so Value Park is cheaper if a cycled outlet is enough. Park2Go is the published option that also warms the cabin and clears the snow.
Taxes and fees: Park2Go's rates exclude GST and an access fee. Airways adds GST. YEG's and jetSet's rate tables don't say whether GST is included. jetSet's homepage still lists regular online rates of $14/$70 selfPark and $17/$85 valetPark, while its offers page shows lower labelled tables ($12.50/$62.50 selfPark online; $19/$95 valetPark online). Both are linked above; confirm which applies when you book.

YEG Value Park: a plug in every stall

- Every stall is powered. YEG's feature list says "Fully paved and powered plug-in stalls for block heater use only." Under "Electric vehicle charging," the same page says the plugs are "equivalent to level 1 chargers and are on a 30 minute on, 30 minute off cycle." So power is on about half the time; there's no separate plug-in fee listed beyond the parking rate.
- Diesel continuous-power rows: "Value Park stalls primarily run on cycled power, rotating from on to off every 30 minutes. Two rows have continuous power and are reserved for diesel vehicles." Park in row 1 (red section) or row 14 (blue & red sections) if you need continuous power.
- Getting to the terminal: about a 5-minute shuttle (pickup at Door 7 as of October 20, 2025) or a 3–5 minute walk. Book online at least 24 hours ahead for the QR-code gate; change or cancel free up to 24 hours before arrival.
- Park Assist is listed for car trouble (same as the Parkade).

- Plug-ins on levels P3 & P4. YEG doesn't say what kind of plugs these are, whether every stall on those levels has one, or whether they cycle like Value Park, so treat them as block-heater outlets unless YEG tells you otherwise.
- Covered walkways to the terminal, 2.25 m height limit, Park Assist, and free change/cancel up to 24 hours before an online booking.

- Block heater plug-ins: "Park2Go has very limited plug in spots available. We cannot guarantee to have your vehicle plugged in. Additional charges of $19.99 plus GST applies per stay." The Edmonton rates page repeats: "Park2Go doesn't guarantee to have the vehicle's block heater plugged in during winter." Complimentary boosting and tire inflation are available with all parking options.
- Warm-up and snow clearing with valet: Park2Go says valet staff start your vehicle, warm it up and clear off any snow before you get back. Edmonton vehicle pickup is inside the heated building (Calgary pickup is outdoors). The Edmonton page also lists "Complimentary snow removal and climate controlled vehicle upon arrival." An indoor-storage add-on for the whole stay is mentioned on the FAQ, but no price is published.

- jetSet doesn't publish block heater plug-ins on its YEG pages.
- Its FAQ says it has partnered with YEG Park Assist for free boosting, tire inflation, snow removal and car-find help (call 780-890-8983; wait times possible).
- Homepage regular online: selfPark $14.00/day or $70.00/week; valetPark $17.00/$85.00 (6th and 7th days free on weekly). Offers-page labelled tables: selfPark online $12.50/$62.50/$125 monthly; valetPark online $19.00/$95.00/$380 monthly.
Lots that don't publish plug-ins
- Airways Airport Parking (Nisku): home page lists $7/day + GST, $49/week + GST, and pay 3 weeks get 1 free at $139 + GST. No plug-in, warm-up or snow-clearing mention. Its FAQ also states a "guaranteed lowest rate is $52.00 per week plus tax," which conflicts with the $49 home-page figure; we use the home-page table and note the conflict.
- Park'N Fly Edmonton (Leduc): location page (8410 43 Street, Leduc; shuttle 10–15 min frequency, 5–8 min ride) publishes no Edmonton rate and no plug-in details. Rates sit inside the booking tool.
Winter tips from the operators
- Need a guaranteed-style plug at YEG? Value Park: every stall. Parkade: only P3 and P4, and the cycle/type isn't stated. Diesel needing continuous power: Value Park row 1 (red) or row 14 (blue & red).
- Want a warm cabin, not just a warm engine? A block heater doesn't clear windows or heat the cabin. Park2Go's valet includes start, warm-up and snow clearing, with heated-building pickup in Edmonton.
- Battery dies anyway? YEG Park Assist (780-890-8983 from the Parkade gate-help line / jetSet FAQ), Park2Go complimentary boost, and jetSet via Park Assist.
- Park2Go plug-in isn't guaranteed. Budget the $19.99 + GST only if they can accommodate you, and don't plan a trip around it.
